Dr. William (B.J.) Myers, Jr. began his education with a B.A. degree in biology from Texas A&M University. He then earned his dental degree, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1997. There he was awarded several academic awards, including the Award for Clinical Excellence, and participated in extra-curricular externships, in order to further advance his clinical education.

Dr. Myers began his practice of dentistry as an associate of another successful practice in Northwest Austin, where he worked for four years. He later established his own "dream practice" where he has happily operated as a solo practitioner for over 10 years.

He continues to enhance his professional expertise by attending ongoing continuing education courses that keep him at the forefront of modern dentistry. Most exciting to him are advances in cosmetic dentistry and also innovative techniques that ease the patient's dental experience.

He is a member of dental societies on the national, state and local levels and is also a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Society. Dr. Myers values community-wide dental education. He delivers presentations to area schools as an outreach to the public. He believes firmly in the significance of the family and grass roots efforts to build strong communities and neighborhoods.

Dr. Myers is known among his friends and colleagues for his friendly charm and outgoing personality. Always a "people person," Dr. Myers particularly enjoys dentistry because it allows him to use his intellectual and clinical skills while meeting new and interesting people all day! He has extensive experience working with people of all ages and has a special ability to put patients, especially children, at ease.

Dr. Myers is a native Austinite who graduated from nearby Westlake High School. He has been married to his wife, Darcy, for many wonderful years and they have two children whom they adore! During his free time, he enjoys sports (playing and watching), outdoor activities and spending time with his family.

Hygiene Team: We have three talented hygienists that are friendly, gentle, and truly spectacular in their dental field. Kathy Hodges has been cleaning teeth for over 20 years, and she is blessed with the special skill of getting teeth cleaner than they have ever been! We often hear patients raving about her attention to detail. Taryne Lewey has over 20 years experience as a hygienist and has the gift of making a trip to the dentist feel like hanging out with a friend. She is a very genuine and fun-loving person who listens to her patients to provide a personalized experience. Kristin Haden is the third member of our hygiene team, and she has a tremendous talent cleaning children's teeth. With four children of her own, I guess she gets lots of practice! She is such a sweet and caring person always going above and beyond.

Clinical Assistants: Dr. Myers practices four-handed dentistry which means whenever he performs a procedure his dental assistant will sit chairside to assist with tools, materials, and the patient's comfort. This is a very important role and Dr. Myers has hand-picked a fantastic assistant. Jennifer Katkoski is a very caring and talented dental assistant who says the best part of her job is getting to know our wonderful patients. Jennifer is focused, efficient, and dedicated to a job well done.

Office Administrators: We have two fantastic office administrators who work extremely hard to make your entire dental experience pleasant. They have many administrative tasks to do in a day, but will always make time to get to know the patients. Beth Jones is a great multi-tasker. She is always capable of finding a solution to any problem. She keeps the office running efficiently and professionally. Dr. Myers couldn't do it without her. Chelsea Oliver is the other smiling face you will meet in the front office. Always in a good mood, Chelsea is a great administrator because she takes on challenging tasks and goes above and beyond in everything she does.
